Welcome to Florence Cellars

Tucked directly between the heart of historic downtown Snohomish and the well-known Woodinville wine country, Florence Cellars is a small family winery rooted in community, friendship, and the joy of gathering over a great glass of wine. Long before the first vintage was bottled in 2019, the Anderson family had already built deep connections with their neighbors and hometown bonds that continue to shape everything we do.

The Anderson Family of Florence Cellars

After a more than 35 year career at the railroad, Travis Anderson, and his wife Lisa, a dedicated school teacher for equally as long, decided to blend their passions for wine and family into something lasting. Lifelong Washingtonians, they moved to Snohomish in 2005 and onto the winery property in 2014. The name "Florence" honors both Travis's mother and their youngest daughter, carrying family history forward in every bottle.

In 2021, Travis and Lisa teamed up with brother-in-law and longtime friend Hal Iverson and fellow winemaker Jesse Schmidt. With backgrounds at acclaimed Washington wineries like Quilceda Creek and then Tenor, Matthews, and Single Barrel, Hal and Jesse bring more than 30 years of combined winemaking expertise. During that time they also started their own winery called Gjallerhorn, in 2019, along with a shared mission to keep Washington wines shining on the world stage.

At Florence Cellars, we’re proud to be part of this vibrant community. We invite you to stop by, raise a glass, and become part of the family gathering.
