Florence Cellars 2023 Merlot
Red Willow | Yakima Valley
Two different clones were blended together to make this Merlot from Red Willow Vineyards. Clone 15 from The Marcoux block brings out the bright flavors and medium bodied texture, while the Clone 2 from East Saddle exudes dark and rich fruits with a structured backbone. These separate ferments spent 30 days each on its skins with cap management twice a day using manual punch downs mixed with pulsed-air. The wine was aged for 18 months in once and twice used French Barrels.
