Working with two distinct sources of Syrah is an absolute pleasure that we have not taken for granted. The Roza Hills portion of this blend leans more fruit forward and retains its acid well. The site sits about 1100 feet above sea level and presents flavors of Raspberry and plum. The Rocks AVA is well known for its earthy and mineral driven Syrah’s and our site at RockBar does not disappoint. More brooding and layered with savory flavors such as smoked lamb, black pepper, and raspberry blackberry compote. Our blending table is full of complexity to work with. This saw over 30 days of extended maceration and a 20% stem inclusion.
